Studio 19 is a dance school in King's Lynn, Norfolk — one studio, three pathways, and a belief that dance changes lives.

Where we started
Studio 19 began with a simple frustration: too many dance schools made children choose between fun and proper training. We wanted both — technique taught by working professionals, in a place where a four-year-old and a twenty-year-old could feel equally at home.
Today we teach 57 weekly classes across 10 disciplines from our two-studio home on Bergen Way, stage an annual show at the Corn Exchange, and run a competition team and a vocational pathway for dancers who want to go further.

How we teach
Technique first
Strong, safe bodies. Every class — even Lil Hip Hop — builds the fundamentals properly.
Kindness always
No shouting, no favourites. Confidence grows in rooms where it's safe to get it wrong.
Stage time for all
Every dancer performs at the annual show. Applause is part of the training.

Three pathways
Each colour means one journey. Dancers move between them as they grow.

Move + Learn
Where everyone starts. Weekly classes in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, commercial, hip-hop, musical theatre, acro and conditioning — from age two to adult. Progress is personal: dancers move up when they're ready, never before.

Perform
Compete + Perform
Our audition-only competition and performance team. A 4½-hour Thursday block of technique, choreography and rehearsal, plus regional and national competitions. DC-19 dancers learn discipline, teamwork and how to deliver under lights.
Advance+
Prepare
Advance + Prepare
For dancers thinking seriously about vocational college or a professional career. Intensives in the school holidays, audition technique, guest faculty, and honest guidance on what the industry actually asks for.

Sara-Jane leads musical theatre and tap — triple-threat training with a heavy emphasis on performance and stage confidence.
Bryony Woodhouse
Commercial · Jazz
Bryony teaches commercial and jazz, bringing current industry choreography into every class from juniors through to seniors.
PJ Eggleton
Acrobatics
PJ heads up our acro programme, taking dancers safely from cartwheels and bridges through to aerials and performance acro.
